Commander

Colonel Hubert D. “Griff” Griffin, Jr., is the Commander of AFROTC Detachment 150 at the University of Florida. He is responsible to the university president and the AFROTC Commander for recruiting, training, motivating and educating Air Force officer candidates.  Colonel Griffin leads, directs and manages an AFROTC detachment that administers a college-level officer training program.  He is the senior Air Force officer on campus with dual responsibilities as detachment commander and Chairman of the Department of Aerospace Studies with rank of full professor. Colonel Griffin instructs a sophomore-level course on Air Power History while overseeing scholarship funding, subsistence, recruiting and operations.  Colonel Griffin determines who is accepted, trained and ultimately commissioned.  Text Box: Questions or comments about this website?
