Career Opportunities

Some of the many available career fields include pilot, navigator, air weapons controller, security forces, engineer, program manager, test manager, scientist, missile officer, space operations officer, nurse, physician, pharmacist, maintenance, intelligence, personnel, attorney, comptroller, and public affairs. Aerospace Engineer

You will design and direct the implementation of military aircraft, missiles and spacecraft. You'll also plan and conduct research on aircraft guidance, propulsion and weapons systems.

Pilot

As an Air Force pilot you will conduct or supervise mission-specific crew member training, operate aircraft controls and equipment and supervise or direct navigation, in-flight refuelings and the completion of your misson.

Engineering Officer

You will use your creative and innovative thinking to develop and use technology for Air Force projects. There are jobs in aeronautical, astronautical, civil, developmental, electrical, mechanical and software engineering - almost all forms of engineering.

Nurse

Air Force nurses work with some of the world's top physicians, as well as experience the most sophisticated equipment and procedures. From the ER to the OR and even out in the field, Air Force nurses do everything from delivering babies to helping discover breakthrough medical treatments.

Cyberspace Officer

The Air Force employs a vast network of satellites and computer systems to create a global communications grid. It keeps all branches of the military in touch. You'll maintain the security of communications sent along this grid and use it during Air Force operations to provide commanders with an interactive view of battlefield.
